Grilled T-Bone Steaks with Lemon Butter
When nothing will do but a juicy steak right off the grill! The Lemon Butter adds a flavorful, richness and is a versatile topping for just about any dish.
Pair with Black Opal Cabernet Merlot
Makes 4 servings
2 beef T-bone steaks, cut 1 inch thick (about 2-1/2 pounds)
Lemon Butter:
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons minced shallot
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Puree all lemon butter ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
Place steaks on grill over medium heat. Grill uncovered, 14 to 16 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness.
Season with salt and pepper. Serve with lemon butter.
*Cook's Tip: To broil, place steaks on rack in broiler pan so surface of beef is 3 to 4 inches from heat. Broil 15 to 20 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning once.
